What is passion? We can say it is an intense desire or enthusiasm for doing something which brings out untapped potential within an individual.

“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.” —Oprah Winfrey

“Nothing is as important as passion. No matter what you want to do with your life, be passionate.” —Jon Bon Jovi

“I would rather die of passion than of boredom.” —Vincent Van Gogh

I can go on and on about famous and influential personalities who advised to follow the passion and not money, even Ranchord Das from 3 Idiots – “Follow passion, success will follow” From film stars like Shah Rukh Khan to Jitendra Kumar in the field of acting or Milkha Singh to M S Dhoni in sports or Dhiru Bhai Ambani to Ritesh Agarwal of Oyo in entrepreneurship, the list is endless. These personalities are famous and successful because they refused to give up. When everyone was striving for a high paying job, these people pursued their passion.

Can anything be greater than every day becoming grateful because one loves what he or she does? One should not be stuck in a job only for money and enjoying cliched luxuries. It can never quench the thirst for satisfaction an individual yearns.

While researching this blog topic, I came across multiple opinions on various platforms, and many suggested passion is no good if it does not pay. But any field doesn’t start paying back from day one. Even an investment in the stock market doesn’t generate returns on Day1 then how can an individual assume to make money immediately. Following a “passion” as a “profession” gives an edge to be successful as we walk the extra mile every day to succeed.

There is no downside in following a passion. If we have got the “knack” about something, it is most likely that we will succeed. In order to get rid of the feeling of being stuck in the wrong place and not being wanted in that field, I say take one step to bring the change in life.

No one in this world would know what your heart wants but yourselves. Follow the calling, even if we don't succeed, life won’t end with the regret of not trying.

No doubt money is important to survive, but let’s not confuse survival with satisfaction. It doesn’t matter if one is in their forties or fifties. There is no such thing as set in ways. Humankind is meant to evolve every day, every moment. It is only plausible that we evolve for our good. So, if you see a thought boggling your mind, I say let’s not ignore it.

Act on that thought. There are 99% chances that we’ll find something right by our side. The internet is loaded with content to read, people scattered all over the place, in myriads of professions to share their success story.

Effort done towards what we love, is never wasted. If nothing else, we can share the experience and guide others. Try to remember about that certificate we got for participation in a competition, we thought let us give it a try. What if we didn’t win, we got a participation certificate. Even though it meant nothing much, it was a token that we tried. We had satisfaction, and no one can take that from us.

All the stories of successful personalities tell us that if we are confident and have complete faith in ourselves, we can make it happen.
